Positives of the game: Nepal verus Jayasuria's world 11........and future newer prospects

Despite being a 'kid,' a bit awkward word, Siddhant Lohani has ability to hit the ball from the middle of the bat and to give the ball punch which many players cannot both because of technical, psychological and habitual reason. Technique is a matter of habit, it takes hundreds of hours to develop and becomes habit thus does not go away easily whether it is a good technique or poor. The ability to hit the ball from the middle of the bat with a punch comes from few sources- one his balance, two his confidence, three may be his ability to see the ball, fourth his leaning into the shot, his back lift. Most important aspect to this is his balance of body while swinging the bat which keeps the head focused and still, incredibly he does not miss many balls either.

This person Siddhant's serious strength is to square cut the ball. Against Jersey he hit two cut shots for fours before unleashing his helicopter six. Today he hit first ball for four, cutting the ball. The time he stepped in to bat today, it was a 'must' score situation. Then first ball he hits a controlled beautiful power-punched cut shot for four, this needs heap of positive confidence, to smack a cut shot to hit a four in such serious situation. Provided that his shot selection is good, the most daring aspect of his batting is there is no voice which says what-if-i get-out, thus he will not go for shell-dot,dot,dot,dot.

Against the spinners he is in absolute control. The way he hit that six to pacer Navaratnam gives us a clue that he is creatively fearless, and intelligent which means the ability to continuesly learn and adjust his game.

When under "must" score situation even senior players fail to connect the middle of the bat. Either the bat moves in the hand, or ball hits the bottom of the bat, or the edge of the bat, or they miss the ball and get bowled; to hit the ball consistently from the middle of the bat is a especial talent.

For such middle of the bat hitting few technical stuff should go right, psychologically it equally needs a head which is creatively confident and is enjoying his drives and hits. If the batter is bit hesitent, nery then either he loses the balance or over-hits and misses the ball, or slices the ball since bat turns in the hand. Technically siddhant, because of his leaning, back-lift, focused and still head, over-all sound balance, is in good position to get under the ball and get middle of the bat behind the ball. Another reason could be he may not be premeditating before the ball where he wants to hit the ball, and thus must be focusing closing and playing late. Today he did not pre-meditate the helicopter shot, ball landed on different region and he smacked a squarish shot for a six.

Overall, he his both technically and psychologially gifted and equipped to be a solid player equally in 50 over formant and 20 over.

It should not be a question whether he should be in the team, he has shown already that he is a significant member of the playing 11 in all format.

Second positive of today's game is that Raju Rijal did not get out playing a bad shot. Together with Anil he was the highest scorer in his debut game. It was a mature and intelligent inning from whatever I could gather through wobbly, and dragging live streaming. Indeed it was a mature and intelligent inning from Raju who enjoyed collecting singles and looked a solid prospect for future because it appears he can control the run-rate and his strike rate and also can play long and meaningful inning.

Naresh is not equipped to open the batting but should be a good prospect at no 5 or even 4 if Paras comes out of the habit to get out in the power play. He got out LBW, and it was not a bad shot choice, that is not a rash shot. He was not looking to over-confidently hit a boundary in a good ball.

The reason for the defeat: batter got good starts but not a single batter could kick on to play an impactful 30-35 run inning. Especially considering the low score one of the top 4 should have kicked on.

For the future note, it is not the chance factor and lack of pressure that he is hitting from the middle of the bat, there are multiple and sometimes invisable technical abilities, and equally important that cretive confidence which is making this consistently happening.

My entirely personal suggestion is go with this: 
1. Sharad ( I have given my argument elsewhere why sharad should open)
2.Gyanu 
3. Anil (I have discussed why Anil can be a next big name in batting if he bats at 3) 
4. Raju (for today's ability to collect single, and display of maturity) 
5. Paras 
6. Mehabob ( I think we need him for both batting and bowling. If fails to score runs then we can have Naresh here for stability)

8. Sagar

9. Sompal

10. Basant

11. Avinash

This team is equipped in my fan-like opinion to play 50- over, T-20 or even 4 day match. This same 11, such is its dynamic nature. These is not a final truth but an argument. Other arguments are also possible.
